Outdoor Furniture & Park Amenities Maintenance
Product Maintenance
Maintenance for your new, commercial-grade outdoor bench or table is fairly straight forward. Our outdoor furniture is built to last with durable PVC thermoplastic coating, UV protection, anti-fungal compounds, and a high-gloss finish. With just a little routine care, your furniture will stay looking great for years.
General Maintenance & Cleaning
Superior Site Amenities manufactures heavy-duty, durable outdoor furniture designed to withstand a variety of outdoor environments. Our products are engineered with the highest levels of UV protection, anti-fungal compounds, and a 90% gloss finish to provide exceptional durability against everyday outdoor use. With simple, routine maintenance, your furniture will continue to look great for years.
Recommended Maintenance Frequency
General maintenance and cleaning should be performed every two to three weeks after products are exposed to the elements. The frequency may vary depending on the environment where the product is placed. Areas near trees or outdoor dining spaces may require more frequent cleaning.
Cleaning Guidelines
Our products are coated with a PVC thermo-plastic coating, which is compatible with most standard household cleaners and vinyl-protectant products. For more stubborn spots, a 50/50 bleach and water mixture may be used (except where prohibited).
- Power Washing: If available, a pressure washer may provide improved cleaning results.
- Staining: PVC is a non-porous surface. Some staining—such as from mustard—may occur. These stains typically lift naturally after exposure to direct sunlight for a short period of time.
Graffiti Removal
The proper cleaning method depends on the type of graffiti. Recommended steps include:
-
Try a general graffiti-removal product suitable for standard surfaces.
-
Use degreasing agents if needed.
-
As a last resort, use acetone sparingly. When using acetone, apply with a soft cloth or a stiff natural-bristle brush (a bottle brush works well for reaching between expanded metal areas). -
Important Acetone Warning: Acetone may remove portions of the PVC coating. Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water after use to prevent further damage.

How to Repair Textured Polyethylene Coating
Our powder-based textured polyethylene is used to coat the tops and seats of most of Superior’s site amenities. One of the key advantages of textured polyethylene – besides its durability – is its ability to be easily repaired if damaged. Watch on our video on how to repair this coating.
